Derwent Fest will take place over two days on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 July.

The event will be a well-organised, safe and fun weekend for families, including live music from some of the region’s best tribute acts and featuring, the music of Queen, Fleetwood Mac and The Beatles.

In addition to the live music, there will be a range of activities throughout the day suitable for the whole family. Various food and drink options will also be available.

The weekend will be hosted by Paul Wappat of Memory Lane Radio and a former presenter for BBC and Smooth Radio.

Derwent Fest is the first event of its kind at any of the company’s Waterside Parks across the region.

David Hall, Northumbrian Water's Head of Commercial Strategy and Transformation, said “We are thrilled to be able to offer this family event at Derwent Waterside Park. The site is hugely popular with families all year round and I’m sure this will be another example of why it is a hit with families who love to come here. It’s fantastic to be able to offer an event of this scale whilst also supporting a fantastic charity in WaterAid.”

Proceeds from the event will be donated to WaterAid.

David said: “WaterAid was founded by the water industry in 1981 with the aim to provide clean drinking water and access to decent toilets for everyone around the world. Today, 771 million people are living without clean water and 1.7 billion do not have access to a decent toilet – this should not still be happening today which is why we want to do what we can to help those who need it the most.”

Car parking will be available on site and is included in the ticket price. Caravan and camping is not available at Derwent Waterside park, however, there are sites with availability within 2 miles of the park.

Tickets:
