At 6:36am we received a report of a large burst on an 18-inch section of our water pipe at Ladgate Lane, at the junction by Marton Train Station and the Grove.

Engineers are currently onsite carrying out repair work and the burst is affecting water supplies in the TS4, TS5, TS7 and TS8 areas.

Some customers living in these areas may experience intermittent low pressure or no water for the next few hours however we hope to have all supplies back on by 3pm.

We are in the process of making direct contact with all our customers on our Priority Services Register and are making arrangements to provide them bottled water and help with any extra care they need during this time.

Anyone needing emergency assistance can contact our call centre on 0345 717 1100.

The burst pipe has caused some flooding in the area under the railway bridge and to allow for this to be cleared, and the repair to be carried out safely, a section of Ladgate Lane near to the bridge has been closed and diversions put in place.

We expect this to be in place until Tuesday next week (May 4).

We apologise for any disruption caused by this and are doing everything we can to get things back to normal as soon as possible. We’d like to thank our customers for their patience.

We will keep our customers updated on our progress via text message, local and social media. Follow us on Facebook or our customer services account on twitter @nwater_care.
