Essex and Suffolk Water has been named one of the UK’s “Best Workplaces” for the third year running.
Great Place to Work® UK has included the water company in the super large category of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ list, following the results of a survey of employees, that reflected the company’s promotion of a healthy workplace culture.
The company, which is part of Northumbrian Water Group, was one of 344 companies recognised, alongside other big names in its category, including Hilton and Deloitte.

An element highlighted was the work employees do to support and benefit the communities they live in and which the company serves.
Through the company's Just an Hour employee volunteering programme, workers supported more than 300 organisations, with 38% of colleagues supporting causes close to their hearts.
To determine the 2023 UK's Best Workplaces™ list, Great Place to Work® performed rigorous evaluations of the hundreds of employee survey responses alongside Culture Audit™ submissions from each company. It then used these data insights to benchmark the effectiveness of companies' employee value propositions against the culture their employees actually experience.
