Northumbrian Water are officially the country’s most reliable water company, according to findings by an industry watchdog.

The 2020 Water Matters Report, carried out by the Consumer Council for Water, has shown that as well as providing the most reliable services, the North East water company has also been found as the most trusted by customers over the past decade.

 

Customers were asked to what extent they trust their water company on a scale of 1 to 10, and since 2011, Northumbrian Water were found to have been the most trusted in England.

 

Trust in water companies has increased over the last ten years, from 7.33 in 2011 to 7.876.

 

in 2020 – however the North East provider has seen a higher average of 7.89.

 

The report, which is compiled with surveys taken from members of the public, also scored Northumbrian Water as the best for overall satisfaction of water services.
